December 2016 T2W

Be Bold: Wake Up, Rise Up and Remember Who You Are!
Last month, we listened to author and speaker, Lisa Bevere, introduce the idea of being BOLD for Christ.  She gave us powerful imagery and reminders through the observations she had of Lions and Lionesses.
"These people rise up like a lioness;
Like a majestic lion they stand!"
Numbers 23:24
Saturday, December 10
9:00-11:00am
PBC Reception Hall*

Join us as we continue to grow in our knowledge of lioness-like boldness and how God wants utilize those same characteristics in our lives and for His glory!

What images come to mind when you think of a lion or lioness? Picture yourself face to face with a lion... alone. I don't know about you but I would be nervously aware of their strength, power, fierceness, beauty and reminded of just how dangerous they are!

What if I told you that's how God desires you to see yourselves as a Christ follower? It's hard to see our God given strength and power when we're knee deep in laundry, changing another diaper, having to juggle our many doctor appointments, or care for a chronically ill loved one.

We often tend to think being bold requires something drastic and well, BOLD! But what if boldness starts small? What if God is asking us to be still and listen first?

Join us Saturday, December 10th as we study examples from the Bible on being still, waiting on God to lead and how we can follow the lionesses' example as well.

Did you miss our last T2W? You can watch Lisa's video we shared before you come if you'd like to have the back story. Our prayer is that you will leave each T2W empowered and equipped to embrace the passion, purpose and power God's given you!

*T2W will now be held in the church reception hall. Coffee and tea will be provided. Please feel free to bring a breakfast dish, pastry or snack to share but it is optional.

Childcare is available for children 4 and younger, but you must call the church office at 316-788-3734 or register using this form by Noon on Friday, October 7.

If you plan to attend, we'd LOVE to have you let us know by visiting our Facebook Event and telling us so...just so we can get excited in advance.

"Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled."  Titus 2:3---
