Sip 'n Shop for a Cause on August 20

Do you like to shop?  Do you enjoy time with friends over coffee, tea, or lemonade?  Would you like to make a difference in the lives of women you have never met?

We are very excited about our upcoming event, Sip 'n Shop for a Cause. Several representatives will be showcasing products made by women in impoverished countries who use sales in the USA and other countries to improve their lives and communities.

Trades of Hope empowers women out of poverty around the world selling ethically produced fashion accessories and home decor.

Ergon Handicrafts is a Delhi-based handicrafts business that seeks to empower women through employment and offers handmade journals, cards and textiles.

Feeding the Orphans provides single mothers with artisan training, materials, and a market to sell their goods. The ultimate goal is to provide a means for generating income so that their family can stay together. These single mothers also receive training as disciples of Christ, so that they are able to grow in their faith and raise up their children in the joy of the Lord. Today, nine women are employed and paid a fair wage by Feeding the Orphans.  We have a variety of merchandise that the women have hand crafted. Some examples are purses, bags, bracelets, earrings, necklaces, aprons, and other items.

Starfish Project was established in 2006 to empower exploited women in Asia. The project developed a socially responsible jewelry business in order to provide women with alternative employment and a range of holistic care services. Starfish provides opportunities for women to heal and grow through counseling, vocational training, language acquisition, family education grants and health care access, as well as providing housing in our women’s shelter. Starfish Project is committed to restoring hope for each woman who enters its doors.

...and more!

Sip 'n Shop for a Cause is a come-and-go event.  Grab a friend or two, come sip some tasty beverages and discover beautiful jewelry, scarves, purses, stationary and home décor!
